COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is essential because it benefits humanitarian causes, persons in need, and the larger community. Indeed, many organizations and charities rely on the generosity of volunteers since they are sometimes only partially sponsored by the government or local governments and cannot afford to pay wages for all of their employees. In reality, many businesses rely nearly entirely on volunteer teams to help them survive and execute their tasks.
While studies suggest that the more you volunteer, the more advantages you will receive, volunteering does not have to be a long-term commitment. Giving in little ways may help people in need while also improving your general health and happiness. So, given the significant benefits of this humanitarian deed, let’s take a deeper look at why volunteering is vital
- Volunteering builds self-confidence and self-esteem
- Builds interpersonal skills
- Establishes new contacts
- Promotes good health
Volunteering does not have to consume your entire life to be valuable. Studies suggest spending just two to three hours per week, or around 100 hours per year, may provide the most benefits—to both you and your chosen cause. The main thing is to just volunteer for as much time as you are comfortable with. Volunteering should seem like a joyful and fulfilling activity, not just another task on your to-do list.
